Federal Grants for Online Students

For most, getting money for school is tight, especially with the economy in the state it’s in, but there may be another way for some to go back and get their degree…federal grants.

A federal grant is money you don’t have to pay back once you graduate with your degree. There are 5 to mention that could possibly save you from emptying out your wallet:

  • Federal Pell Grant
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
  • Academic Competitiveness Grant
  • National SMART Grant
  • Federal TEACHER Grant

Each grant has their own restrictions and guidelines, and the catch is that you have to attend an accredited university in order to receive the funding. For more detailed information on how you can qualify for one of these grant programs visit American Public University’s Tuition & Financing page for details.

There’s always a way if you have the will to get what you want. So if school is your destination of choice, there are ways to make it work.
