Cybersecurity Experts Assemble Free Cyber Readiness Guide

By Wes O’Donnell
Managing Editor of InCyberDefense, In Military and In Space News

You can’t watch the news these days without seeing a mention of a cybersecurity breach somewhere in the world. It’s always springtime for cybercriminals as they take advantage of the massive shortage of trained “white hat” cybersecurity professionals available to the industry.

According to a report by Cybersecurity Ventures, there will be a staggering 3.5 million unfilled cyber positions by 2021. That’s only a little more than a year away!

In recognition of National Cybersecurity Awareness Month in October, numerous experts have developed a key industry magazine called “Preventing a Cyberattack: A Guide to Cyber Readiness.”

The best part: This magazine is free.

Cyber Readiness Guide Features Contributions from Multiple Experts

The contributing experts in the guide feature professionals like Dr. Kevin Harris, Program Director for Cybersecurity, Information Systems Security and Information Technology Management at American Military University.

With over 25 years of industry experience, Dr. Harris has protected a variety of organizational infrastructures and data in positions ranging from systems analyst to chief information officer. His career encompasses diverse experiences both in information technology and academia.

Dr. Ken Williams also lends his cyber expertise to the publication. Dr. Williams is the Executive Director of the Center for Cyber Defense at American Military University. He holds a doctoral degree in cybersecurity and a master’s degree in information security/assurance from Capella University. Dr. Williams is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and holds Security+ and CompTIA certifications.

In addition, the magazine features Angela Hill, a U.S. Navy veteran and former intelligence contractor for special operations throughout the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. She now resides in Michigan, where she serves as Security Practice Manager for NuWave Technology Partners. Hill writes about technology optimization and national security risks and is a contributor to InCyberDefense.

Among many other expert contributors, the magazine also features excellent infographics, a terminology breakdown and an informative section on the do’s and don’ts of online activity to keep your data safe.

The 48-page magazine is packed with information that will empower you to take your first step to protect your data online. Get your free copy today.
