When you go to school online, you don’t get that daily physical interaction with your peers and classmates. All you have is the internet, so why not make the most of it?
All online schools typically have discussion boards and a student lounge. Take it one step further. (This goes for folks considering going to school online and those who are already online students)
Check out your school (or prospective school) on Facebook. Talk to some of the folks who are active on the page, and get a feel not just for the school, but for the people who go there.
If you’re already in classes, connect with your classmates on Facebook. It’s a great place to network and to get to more of your peers!
